The lobby is often the first impression a client will encounter when visiting your organization. As such, businesses today are implementing digital signage to create engaging, useful and informative corporate lobby experiences. These powerful, eye-catching displays are pivotal in delivering important branding, key messaging, office communications, industry-relevant content, and more. But what about that display sitting in the conference room, waiting for the next team meeting or presentation? When not being utilized for a specific meeting, shouldn’t conference room and smaller meeting area displays also be leveraged to disseminate vital information? Yet, most of the time, displays in these rooms sit inactive, representing untapped messaging resources that could be expended more cleverly.

Harnessing the Power of Conference Room Digital Signage

When not in use during a meeting, idle displays in conference and other meeting rooms can be employed to transmit important, interesting, or even entertaining content for your employees and visitors to peruse and enjoy. Conference room displays can, for example, call attention to upcoming corporate events, publish real-time financial numbers and sales data, reiterate company initiatives to reinforce goals, or even broadcast flash news updates or employee birthdays. Just imagine potential clients sitting in your board room or employee candidates relegated to a smaller meeting room reading highlights about your company in the minutes before their meeting or interview begins!

ScreenBeam 1100 meets Digital Signage

Thanks to the newest firmware update to the ScreenBeam 1100, companies are now able to carry through those same engaging and informative elements from their corporate lobbies into their meeting rooms. This feature enables an easy method for companies to stream valuable content in either Fullscreen or Framed mode when a meeting isn’t in session or a display isn’t otherwise being utilized. Enabled from the management interface and disabled by default, stream HTML5, WebGL, Video Webm, Video H264, or Video MP4 content per the idle time set by the administrator. In addition, the firmware update also includes an enhancement to its Video playback support for iOS/macOS native mirroring (i.e., when mirroring video content from a YouTube™ app or Safari browser, the ScreenBeam receiver will stream and playback the video directly instead of mirroring).
